Coordination and Support Actions Comprehensive Cancer Infrastructures for Europe

Logo zum Projekt CCI4EU

Since May 2023, the EU project Comprehensive Cancer Infrastructures for Europe (CCI4EU) has been running within the framework of the Horizon Europe Cancer Mission. The aim of the project is to support the development and further advancement of so-called Comprehensive Cancer Infrastructures (CCIs). For this purpose, tailored capacity building programmes are being developed, tested in nine Deep Dives sites, and subsequently evaluated by a team of experts.

The German Cancer Society (DKG) is leading Work Package 2, “Definition of Criteria for Comprehensive Cancer Infrastructures (CCIs),” with support from the Karolinska Comprehensive Cancer Centre (KCCC) and Technische Universität Dresden. The aim of Work Package 2 is to develop, within the a forementioned period, criteria for CCIs, which will be integrated into a Maturity Model. With the help of this model, potential CCIs can be analysed and further developed if necessary. The Maturity Model should also support the development of training programmes for the further advancement of CCIs.
